Portrait
Thanks to the buyout by Thierry Goux in 2003, Meubles Rinck, with a staff of about 50, is bustling with activity, among which several large-scale projects for hotels and restaurants (Tokyo’s Grand Hyatt, New York’s Buddakan), shops (Taschen in Paris, Baccarat in Moscow), yachts and private homes. And no matter who the client is, the entire range of techniques (past and contemporary), materials and services is available. One of Rinck’s goals is to open up its archives– original sketches, from as early as the XVIIIth century, as well as photos–and bring them to life. Quality remains the watchword at Rinck, who perpetrates the tradition by training young artisans for tomorrow.
